Description:
It's time to build your boat and take part in this hilarious competition on Saturday, June 18th at Deer Meadow Park pond. All you need is duct tape, cardboard and your imagination to create a boat that you paddle down the course. The entry form, boat building rules and Regatta information are available at the City’s website or available at the PRC and GCC. Boat check-in will be between 10:00am-10:30am, and races will begin at 10:30am.

After the event is over children may play with RC Boats in the pond.
Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnification

I hereby acknowledge that there are certain inherent risks associated with the City of Moraine’s Cardboard Boat Regatta located at Deer Meadow Park.

I have voluntarily and freely inherent risks associated with participating in the Cardboard Boat Regatta and understands that those risks could result in property damage, serious bodily injury or death. The undersigned hereby agrees to assume full responsibility for and risk of property damage, bodily injury or death which may result from engaging in this activity.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Cardboard Boat Regatta, for himself/herself, and his/her personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, hereby expressly assumes all risks of any nature whatsoever associated with such participation and does hereby release and forever discharge the City of Moraine, Ohio and its elected and appointed officials, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively the “City”) from any and all claims, actions, causes of action or liability of whatsoever kind or nature, for property damage, bodily injury, death or any other type of damage or injury of any nature arising out of the my participation in the Cardboard Boat Regatta.

I agree to indemnify and defend the City from any loss, liability, damage or cost the City may incur due to the my participation in the Cardboard Boat Regatta. I hereby understand that this Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Ohio and that if any portion of the agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.
